Career Pathways
At two former agencies, there was no clear relationship between role descriptions and defined expectations for growth. At the first agency, I created a career levels spreadsheet that set a foundational framework I was able to use at the next agency. The ultimate goal for their continued evolution was to connect the pathways with our annual performance evaluation and goal-setting tools and activities to better give our team members visibility and command of their future with the company. Creating clear career pathways also provides for more definition, transparency and equity in advancement.
The pathways work was set up so the design leadership to further develop the pathways to help prepare for acquisition of more UX team members.
